Qualification Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have significant experience in specialist technical skills, or managerial, business, and people management skills.

Individuals in these roles carry out complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, leading a team, or guiding the strategic direction of a business. They apply their skills across a wide range of industries and business functions, or as a business owner (sole trader or contractor).

The specialised skills required for a wide variety of roles are listed in the Training Package.

Who can Enrol?

Target applicants will be mostly international or overseas mature-aged students who have completed ICT50220 – Diploma of Information Technology or a similar qualification and wish to further develop their skills in Telecommunications Network Engineering.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites required to enter the ICT60220 – Advanced Diploma of Information Technology course. However, Omni College prefers applicants to have successfully completed ICT50220 – Diploma of Information Technology or a similar qualification.

Additionally, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

English Language Requirement

Minimum IELTS score of 6.0, PTE score of 47, or other equivalent tests*.

Age Requirement

All applicants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to the course.

Language, Literacy, Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy test

All students enrolling in a VET course at Omni College are required to undertake a Language, Literacy, Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy test to assess their capabilities prior to signing the Letter of Offer (LOO). The results enable trainers and Student Support Staff to identify learning and digital needs and provide additional academic support where required.

Other

Applicants should have proficiency in digital literacy and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). They should also have their own personal computer with a minimum configuration of:
