This qualification provides a trade outcome in painting and decorating for residential and commercial construction work.

- Painter and Decorator.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

Pathways into the qualification
Individuals may enter Certificate III in Painting and Decorating with limited or no vocational experience and without a lower-level qualification.
Pathways from the qualification
After achieving the CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, individuals could progress to Certificate IV or Diploma Qualifications in Building or Civil Construction.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal prerequisites required to enter the CPC30620 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating course. However, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
English Language Requirement
Minimum IELTS score of 6.0, PTE score of 47, or other equivalent tests*.

Academic Requirement
No prior academic requirements apply for this qualification; however, Omni College requires successful completion of Australian Equivalent Year 12 qualification or higher.
Age Requirement
All applicants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to the course.
Language, Literacy, Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy test
Applicants will be required to demonstrate their LLN Proficiency and Digital Literacy capabilities &/or complete an LLN and Digital literacy test prior to the commencement of the course as per the Omni College Pretraining & LLN and Digital Literacy Policy & Procedure. Omni College uses the platforms of LLN Robot and Jotform for LLN Proficiency and Digital Literacy test respectively.

Applicants should have basic computer and MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Power Point).
Applicants should be in possession of their personal computer (the minimum configuration should be Intel Core i3 (sixth generation or newer) or equivalent. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional x64, Memory: 4 GB RAM, Storage: 120 GB internal storage).
